The Friend Zone, pt. 2

Okay, so, what's the best way to cross the line from friend to lover?

Remember:
1. As described in part 1, the first thing to come to grips with is that your chances of success in this endeavour are incredibly small.
2. Your chances of pissing her off, ruining the friendship and her never speaking to you again are incredibly huge.

I'll say that again.  If you want to fuck her, be ready for the more likely outcome of not speaking with her again.

If you're willing to go there, the best way to make it happen is through jealousy.  Taking the direct route and professing your love to her has comet odds of working (i.e. you're more likely to be struck by a comet).  If she wanted your love, you'd know it by now.   Nope, the trick to get her attracted is to make her jealous.  Women want what other women have.  So, how do you do that?

1. Get involved with another girl that she thinks is more attractive (or above her "league")
2. Parade said girl in front of her at every opportunity - make her the third wheel if you can pull it off.
3. Talk about how great things are with said girl - phrases like "I wish that you could be this happy, too" are particularly effective
4. Do everything you can to maximize your popularity and attractiveness.  Get a new suit.  A new look.  But - here's the kicker - don't have high regard for any of her opinions in these matters.  You want her to feel like she's second best.
5. If you can pull off all of the above, which is no simple task, then she'll likely be second-guessing her status in the world.  She'll feel intense jealousy and attraction toward the thing that she thinks she can't have - you - and consequently, she'll want that thing very, very badly.

Once you get to that point, you can invent some excuse about your current relationship starting to veer into unforeseen circumstances and break it off suddenly.  Then you can tell her that you may be willing to give her a chance.  Timing is critical, as you don't want her to be thinking rebound, but at the same time you want to strike when the jealousy iron is hot.  Probably a couple of weeks of ignoring her will do the trick.
